Wednesday, July 7th, 2010 - Looked up live music in the paper, and used our new GPS(es) to get there. Found the place closed, completely dilapidated, gutted and furniture all over the yard. There was even a piano out in the middle of a field. I had fun taking a lot of pictures. Joshua is the one who figured out the place had been flooded. I took some convincing, as it was so high up on a hill, but it eventually clicked: it is right next to a river.

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010 - Looked up live music in the paper, and used our new GPS(es) to get there. Found the place closed, completely dilapidated, gutted and furniture all over the yard. There was even a piano out in the middle of a field. I had fun taking a lot of pictures. Joshua is the one who figured out the place had been flooded. I took some convincing, as it was so high up on a hill, but it eventually clicked: it is right next to a river. After dark, and now starving, we used our GPS to find another place with food and music just 4 miles away. While we raced around the bends of the country back roads, the brakes on the miata gave out - well, didn't go completly out, but went to the floor. Its good I had gotten one last good breaking in on the previous turn. I stopped and found the brake fluid empty. Then I realized I had found it low a couple weeks ago. I've been so tired from sleep depravation (from heartburn & gastritis), that I forgot all about the slow leak. I put new fluid in, but there is so much air in the lines, it only barely brakes. But it's enough to be safe. I'll fix them this weekend. The new place we stopped allowed smoking - which, in Tennesse, means 21 and up only. They wouldn't even let us sit out on the porch. We heard the live music a bit then headed out again. It was now 9 pm. Right around the corner, Josh spotted a Chinese "Super" Buffet. It was great. I ate too much. We got home at 10:30. I'm still awake at 2 am because of crazy sleeping the last few days - I was kept awake with heartburn until 5 am last night (again, 3rd time in 5 nights -other two nights were 1 am and 2 am.) I don't know what it is about July, but it's the same month I started a journal last year. And July of last year, I had serious heartburn trouble too. The difference this year is that I'm not depressed at the same time. Depressed / stressed about work, that is. No, this year, I'm not letting this job get me down.
